Why it's a gem

At 432 chapters across 42 volumes, this is a big, finished superhero saga. It begins with a boy who wants to be a hero despite having no power, and grows into an ensemble story set at a boarding school with some heavier themes, including terrorism, as it goes.

It has a strong reputation, including a first-place newcomer award and several nominations. The tone is earnest and exciting, with comedy and teen friendships alongside the fights.

Choose it if you like superheroes, school settings and watching a big cast grow. It's a real commitment, but you can read all of it, with no waiting for new chapters.
