Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
Kimetsu no Yaiba
Why it's a gem
Reading this means seeing the full story that so many people know from the screen. It's a tale of a gentle boy, a sister turned demon and a long road of swordfights, and in print it is grimmer and bloodier than you might guess, with tragedy and gore along the way.
The finished run is 207 chapters in 23 volumes, a compact length for a big shounen action series. It's a good choice if you want a quick, complete adventure with a clear goal and plenty of emotion. It also earned a nomination for a major cultural prize. Readers sensitive to violence should be aware.
