Why it's a gem
Few shows combine absurd humor and sincere emotion as smoothly as this one. A quiet teenage boy with enormous psychic power is trying to live a normal life, and the series is as much about growing up and self-acceptance as it is about spirits and fights.
The comedy is surreal and often satirical, and the action is stylish and fast. Underneath that, there's real heart and some philosophy about what it means to improve yourself.
At 12 episodes, it's short and easy to finish in a weekend. Its score is high, and hundreds of thousands of people have watched. It's a great fit for anyone who likes offbeat humor with feeling.

This boy with psychic powers earned his nickname "Mob" because he does not stand out among other people.
