Why it's a gem
Here is a loud, optimistic, never-give-up magic adventure. Two orphans who grew up together compete to become the Wizard King, and one of them has no magic at all, which keeps the underdog energy going.
It's classic shounen: lots of battles, comedy, rivalries and a found-family core, with a medieval fantasy world. Don't expect subtlety or a dark tone. Its charm is in being high energy and heartfelt.
The big catch is length: 170 episodes, and it's finished. That's a serious time investment, so it's best for people who like long-running action series and want something to follow for months. Close to 580,000 people have it on their lists.
