Why it's a gem
An odd mix works surprisingly well: a comedy about a class of misfits with a school-teacher figure at the center, and a story that is also about assassins and a ticking clock. It's funny first, then often moving.
The cast is large and teen-heavy, and each student gets a moment. The humor is silly and the action is quick, but the story has real warmth about teaching, growing up and finding your footing.
It runs 22 episodes and is finished, so it's a manageable length. Anyone who likes school comedies with a supernatural edge will probably enjoy it. Viewers who need serious realism may stumble on the premise.
